Ms. Shuff started training shotokan karate in 1981. She has over 30 years of experience teaching karate and is a former U.S. National Team member. She represented U.S. competing in 1994 5th JKA Shotocup held in Philadelphia. She has competed in regional, national, and international level tournaments. She won National Collegiate Champion in both kata and kumite in her category in 1993.
Eric and Meaghan started karate together in February 2014 with the UL Karate Club.
Holly Damico is an instructor at Lafayette Karate Club. She completed Sandan (3rd Degree) ranking in 2010. She has competed in regional and national level tournaments. During the day, she is a speech-language pathologist with a clinical specialty in language and literacy development and is the Director of the Speech, Language and Hearing Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.She is an alternate on the 2014 USA team for the World Shoto Cup, which is held in Japan.
Mr. Junot started training shotokan karate in 1996. He has many years of experience teaching karate. He completed Sandan (3rd Degree) ranking in 2010. He has competed in regional and national level tournaments. He is a JKA certified Judge.
Mr. Nevils has over 30 years experience teaching karate and is a five time U.S. National Team member, 1997 U.S. National Kumite Champion, and 2007 U.S. National Kata Champion. He has trained and competed throughout the U.S., Europe and Japan. Mr. Nevils is a student of Sensei T. Mikami, 9th Degree Black Belt and former All Japan Kumite and All Japan Kata Champion. He is a JKA certified instructor, examiner, and judge.
