8th Kyu – Yellow Belt

7th Kyu – Orange Belt

6th Kyu – Green Belt

5th Kyu – Blue Belt

4th Kyu – Purple Belt

3rd Kyu – Brown Belt (1st Level)

2nd Kyu – Brown Belt (2nd Level)

1st Kyu – Brown Belt (3rd Level)

JKA Membership and Belt Testing

Belt Testing/Gradings fees are paid separately by cash or check directly to Lafayette Karate Club.

Belt Testing/Gradings occur approximately three times (3x) per year (Spring, Summer & Fall).

Students must have purchased their JKA Membership card (annual renewal fee $45) in order to belt test.

Belt tests/gradings are held at our sister dojo – The New Iberia Institute for Karate, New Iberia, La. and the belt testing/grading fee is $45 per student/per belt test.
